About Me:
I am a wife and a mother of 3 children. My youngest suffers from a rare genetic syndrome and in this past year since we were blessed with her I have ate when I am stressed, sad, happy, scared, anxious, etc. You name the feelings I have ate for them. I weigh now what I did when I gave birth!!! Yikes! I have decided that this has to change. I need to be healthy not only for myself but for my family.

Almost Losing a Child Will.....

Almost Losing a Child Will......

1. Make you appreciate every moment even more.

2. Make you want to hug and kiss them more.

3. Make you realize that no matter what is going on in life everything comes to a standstill.

4. Make you appreciate the strength of other parents who have lost a child.

5. Make you realize that without God, family, and friends this would be too hard to bare.

Well I am back.  In the last few months I haven't been…

WI Day!!!! Week 10.

Posted on August 18, 2011 at 11:28pm 5 Comments

I couldn't decide if I wanted to keep my weigh in day the same since I started a new plan 3 days ago but I decided I would.  I will actually be weighing Tues for my "Game On! Diet" and then on Thursdays like always since that will be the even amount of weeks that I have been on my journey to a healthier me.  So today I am down another .6lbs from last week.  I am happy with that since I went on a binge eating spree for four days.  I have been on the "Game On!" plan for 3 days and I like it. …

Wow!  Can we say WITHDRAWLS?!!!  I woke up this morning with a pounding headache.  I guess that is what happens when you go cold turkey on caffiene, white flour, and refined sugars.  However, today has gone pretty well.  I feel like I am drowing in all the water I am drinking though. :)  Well I have to cut it short and sweet.  Still have some things to do and I am on a time limit so I get enough sleep.

MIA, New Plan, Healthier Me

Posted on August 16, 2011 at 9:09am 4 Comments

Well first of all I have been MIA.  My last post was about me stumbling.  Lets just say I didn't get up like I planned.  I felt defeated and have been binge eating ever since.  My mom proposed a new plan.  I have been doing WW but I think I need a break.  I have found myself eating within my points but not the healthiest.  I have been eating more processed foods and drinking diet drinks.  So the new plan is actually a game.  This works for me because I am super competitive.  You play teams…

thanks for the comment amber.  The truth is I haven't seen me at a healthy weight either, so nobody knows what it will look like.  We'll all just have to tune in for more details later, I guess.  What you're saying makes sense, they've never seen me smaller than this so to them this is as small as it gets.

aww, Amber you're gonna make me cry.  That was so sweet.  I hope that I can inspire somebody to get healthier or happier or help somebody to not make the mistakes I made.

Don't you just hate the word obese.    It's such an aweful word and knowing that it describes you doesn't feel good.  Hang in there, I was 100 lbs into obesity when I started.  I think every lb you pull yourself out of obesity you work towards a healthier future.  You have a lot of added challenges on your plate.  Good luck this week.

We have ONE shirt that says big sis. I agree, we need more and matching sets make it easier on the hubby when he's the one dressing the little one. You should set up an online store!
