One great way to stay motivated to is to reward yourself. If you've reached a mini-goal treat yourself to something special. But, try not to use food as a reward. Instead, treat yourself to something non-food related that will benefit your weight loss like a professional massage or some new running clothes or gear. What are you getting yourself when you reach the next mini-goal?

My next goal is 4 pounds from now - that will put me under 180.
My reward to myself for reaching that milestone is going to be a new gym bag...a nice gym bag. I have been wanting a new one for a while, but can't justify spending the money when I've got one that is functional, but don't really care for. So when I lose the next 4 pounds, I am totally going to splurge and get myself a new bag. :)

This is a great idea.

My upcoming reward:

Get below 160 (2.4 pounds away: a 1.5 hour massage, which will be so so so nice. My goal is to hit it next weekend.

When i reach my next goal, i'll be getting myself a good book and probably some workout gear.

My next goal, technically my first is 12 lbs away. That is a huge milestone for me, will put me at 200lbs. Closest I have gotten is 202. for some reason as soon I near that 200 mark i bounce right back to 216. So I am journaling everything since i am getting near once again, and this time when I hit it I will be rewarding myself with a body bugg to help with the remaining 72 lbs.

Way to go Heidi!! You are almost there!! I am down 1.8 pounds this week putting me at 181.4. So if I keep my nose to the grindstone, I am going to be there by my birthday on the 24th. That's my goal...to hit the 170's by my 32nd bday. :) I can't wait to get my hands on that new bag. :)
