My Hubby is stationed up at Port Hueneme right now so he is only home on weekends...when he is not out training or deployed. He is out diving San Clemente right now as work ups for the deployment cycle next year...so I am on my own for now. I was active duty for 16 years and I have been the one out the door the most of our 8 years together so it's strange at home by myself now...I don't have any children except for my two furry ones. I guess it just gives me more time to run =)

I'm an Army wife so we almost have all the branches covered. My hubby is in the Ohio National Guard and has been deployed since last January. He will be coming home in a week or two. We are so excited!!

My hubby is just getting ready to start his deployment cycle...I have never been the one at home so it's strange for me. He tells me I am spoiled because I would always be the one out the door...even times when we were both gone at the same time...I would leave then he would leave and get home before me so it was like he never left.

Jamie I am glad he is coming home...there is nothing better than coming home after you have been away for a long time. It's a little hard to adjust at first...but then everything goes right back to normal....

USMCwife...you are not that far away...if you get bored....we can go for a run and maybe just maybe you will start to love it too =)

I'm a Navy wife. Sort of. My husband was in the Navy for 30 years--LOTS of sea duty deployments. He retired and now works for the Coast Guard. This job has a lot of TDY time, too, but not the loong deployments. He's on his way to Monterey CA tomorrow. My dad was in the Army, so the military lifestyle feels right to me. My older son was stationed at San Diego, flying helicopters.

Welcome, sounds like you have a ton of experience with the military! We have only been married 7 years so I am sure I have a lot more to learn.
