I've been unmotivated lately. Just can't seem to break the cycle of doing well, then crashing and burning. Looking for ideas to help me stay focused.

I am where you are and what I've decided to do is develop a personal motivational team.  The team will consist of 3-5 people who share my desire to become healthier, we will motivate each other via text, phone calls, emails and facebook post.  We will be accountable to each other daily.  I haven't pulled it all together as of yet but I will very soon.  Perhaps developing your own fitness team to keep you motivated will help you too.  Let me know what think of the idea.

Great idea...social networking at it's best! I stay motivated by creating FREE DAILY weight loss motivational posters which I put onto my site MotiveWeight. I also read a ton of weight loss blogs every day (mainly on tumblr.com) to gain inspiration from others. I look forward to getting to know you all and wish you lots of success on your weight loss journeys. Welcome Paula, Linda, & Sherita! Thanks for joining in. Sherita, I love your suggestion about the support team! Linda...I do the same thing to help keep me motivated (reading blogs) :) Paula, something I've done to help keep me motivated is not only join here, but also make an inspiration board. I made one that just has different pictures, quotes, etc that inspire me to keep on keeping on. I have an "actual" board that I hang up in my house, but I also have an online one too. Just the little small things have helped me...  :)

I agree with busygirl about the inspiration board...I make them too, I call mine 'a vision board'. It does not have to be an actual board; one can also use a scrapbook. I used to cut out pictures, quotes and inspiring words from old magazines and stick them onto my scrapbook/vision board/inspiration board. Nowadays I use my computer to store my pictures - there are so many inspiring pictures all over the internet. Paula I really do believe that it is about getting the right mindset FIRST and then the rest tends to flow from that.

Hello ladies! I love this group idea!! I am SO tired of gaining and losing the same 10 lbs over and over again! I don't want to diet anymore- I want to get healthy and stay that way! My goal is to be in the best shape of my life and keep it that way by the time I hit 30!

Jennifer you can do it.  Surround yourself with your own support team, people who are genuinely interested in your success, it really helps a lot.

Hi there, goddesses. I'm joining this circle because I'm not having much luck sticking to my best intentions. I've decided to use November to try to get some good habits back in place. I had a great time over the summer with eating and exercise, and again two weeks ago when I was away for two weeks. Now I'm home, things are clear in my mind but kind of foggy in practice. The "oh well, one cookie, one more glass of juice, one more big cup of coffee won't hurt" thing. I'm hoping that as I go through the month, I can check in here to ... what's the word... confess ... whine... vent... no, I think it's "share".

Thanks for taking me in.
