I just made the black bean fajita pita out of the Clean Eating magazine and I used pinto instead of black because I had lots in my fridge and I didn't make the yogurt sauce with it.... It was good, but the bean/meat mix was a little bland. It tasted better with tobasco on it.... so maybe the yogurt would've helped.

Don't get me wrong, it was good and unique, but I would add more chili to the mix next time to get a stronger flavor :)

The whole wheat brownies turned out pretty well...the texture is a little grainier and they are more cake like than fudge like, but overall I do like them. Even the husband said they were pretty good.

This morning I made blueberry muffins for the family. I measured out 1/4 cup portions and in 2 of them I mixed in 1tbsp of flax seed. I had one this morning and am planning on having the other tomorrow. They turned out great, they fluffed up perfectly and tasted great!

Well the cinnamon raisin ezekiel bread is really good. I toasted it for Olivia (my 6 yo) for breakfast this morning topped with the olive oil butter that I made (1 stick of unsalted butter, 1/2 C evoo, blended I used my stick blender & a pinch of sea salt) keep it in the fridge & it stays soft & spreadable & cuts the amount of butter you use in half & replaces it with a better alternative evoo.

Made the "Chicken Cheesesteak" in Clean Eating magazine. YUMMY!!! Highly recommend this recipe. I added garlic to the chicken, but everything else was left the same. Yum. I added some broccoli/spinach/tomatoes/avocados on the side as fillers, but the sandwich is good.

I had a bunch of fruit that was going to go bad before we could eat it. I thought, why not freeze it for wintetime smoothies! Now I am working on stocking my freezer with fresh summer fruits. Won't it be great to have a peach smoothie in Dec.!?!

Carrie, what a great idea! I hate throwing away fruit if it doesn't get eaten in time. And you can never get really yummy peaches in the winter (peaches are my all time favorite fruit). I freeze grapes for us to eat as snacks, but never thought about freezing the rest of it. I should start doing that :)

I do this with all the berries and bananas.. for smoothies and I don't really do any prep other than just rinsing them off and tossing them in a ziploc :) Perfect
