Welcome to the new All About Fitness page.  It is my hope that this group will be active and it's open to all fitness discussions.  There are so many groups on BTL, many inactive so I wanted to get something going.  And fitness has been a big part of my lifestyle change and really has made a huge difference in my life. Hope you'll find fitness to be as fun as I have.

I will totally join you in getting fitness in every day! I also have found that exercise is key to my success. I have discovered that not only to I need to do it for weight loss, but I need to do it for my own sanity! I typically workout 7 days a week, 4 strength training and 3 running. I do this for a couple of weeks until my body says it needs a break. I take one day off and typically do a double workout the next day (strength and running). I am learning to listen to my body as I go through this, and so far the rest days have always been neccessary as well as rejuvinating!

Today I started the 30 Day Shred back up again. I did it today, and plan to do it tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and run on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday. I hope you have a great, and active, week!

Thanks Emily!  You are rockin' it.  I would like to start kicking it up more. I really should have worked out this morning at home in addition to Treadmill and Pilates at the gym tonight.  Need to shake things up so my body gets a jolt and the scale and inches start moving in the right direction ha ha

So I ended up going a little easier on my workouts than I had planned due to getting a tattoo on Tuesday. I took a rest day on Tuesday and ran 3 miles yesterday. Today is back to the Shred!

I can't imagine what the tattoo feels like!  And look at you go still working out no matter what. Go Emily!

 

This week so far I have done Pilates, spin and mowed the lawn (over 600 cal burned in under an hour, it was killer yesterday).  I'm heading downstairs to get in a quick 15 min. shadow boxing workout since I have to pack and get ready to travel today.  Then the next few days are up in the air, probably some hiking at my parent's but otherwise helping them move so I'll consider that strength LOL

I did end up taking a few days off after the tattoos. I really felt uncomfortable at first. My skin can be rather sensitive, so I just waited. Plus I was struggling for a few days. But, I am back on track now! I did the shred on Saturday, ran on Sunday, and just finished the shred today. It's already getting a little easier. I plan on doing it again tomorrow and a run on Wednesday! How are you ladies doing??

I haven't worked out since last Thurs.  Unless you count helping my parent's move some stuff but I'll get back to it tomorrow with spin class.

Moving defintely counts as activity! I also would love to try a spin class, just don't know where to go and we can't afford a gym membership right now. So I just stick with what I got...the treadmill, the trail, and dvd's. I did the Shred again today, and I am definitely feeling it from yesterday! I really pushed myself yesterday, and today was a little more challenging, but I managed to get through it. Up until my 9 month old crawled up and laid on my belly while I was trying to do bicycle crunches. Didn't work out too well!
