How large is a serving? I can figure out the 1 apple=1 serving part. But what about things like salad? What would 3 cups of salad be?

Good question Angela...I myself would consider a cup of salad to be 1 serving of veggies...does that sound right?

So far today, I have had 5 servings - 1 cup grapes, 1 cup cherries, 1 nectarine, 2 cups of tomato red pepper soup. Still to come, the apple I'll eat on the way home, and the salad I am having for supper tonight. I've totally overdone it today!! Hopefully tomorrow will be just as good. :)

My leader says a serving of veggies is 1 cup raw, 1/2 cup cooked ... so your 3 cups would be three servings. Good job!

I just had 2 cups of fruit for breakfast; 1 cup of watermelon and a cup of cantaloupe. Yummy!!

You guys are doing great! Let's see where I'm at. 1 plum, 1 C watermelon, 2 C salad. I'm almost there! I'm having a plum for an afternoon snack, plus I'll probably have more watermelon before the day is done. Today will be lighter than normal on the veggies because my significant other is cooking supper.

Such a great idea!!! I need to do this!! This morning I had blueberries and a banana on my cereal, I am eating sugar snap peas with my lunch, and I have an apple and carrots for this afternoon! I just need to do that more every day!! This challenge will be great!

ok, so 5 a day fruits and veggies...I can do this...

Today so far:

salad at lunch - only counts as 1, just lettuce w/chicken salad and some light dressing

2 clementines

so I'm at three...I'll take care of the rest at dinner time!! - great news is that my veggie garden is looking supreme and fresh tomatoes are just a week or so away!!! WOO HOO!!!

My, our little group is growing! That's fantastic. Welcome, everyone.

I had a cup of watermelon as a morning snack and a California roll with pickled ginger for lunch, so I'm up to 3 servings so far today. Just 2 more to go!

Those clementines sound yummy. I may have to pick some up tomorrow (it's payday).
