No matter the plan... we all Blog to Lose!
Does anyone on here have any experience with the TOPS organization?
I am looking for some accountability in person while doing my own plan. Anyone with opinions about TOPS--good, bad, or otherwise?

I've heard about it-and heard it's a little less strict/lower key (and price) than WW.
You should consider it.
I'll bet if you googled TOPS reviews, there are probably some online to read-though each location varies. Maybe they have a free meeting or two you could try first?

I have belonged to TOPS, it is worth joining just to receive their magazine, it is free with your membership. Go to a meeting it is free to attend a meeting to check it out. If you have several in your area attend the ones that fit your schedule. Their website has been updated over the past year and has a lot of excellent information.
I know women who have had great success with TOPS & WW. But with both programs, if you have had major issues with weight all your life, you will need to be life members in order to keep it off.
I don't belong anymore, the one meeting I could attend I knew many of the ladies, they haven't lost weight over the past xx amount of years. It was mainly a social hour for older retired women. But, the other meeting which doesn't fit me schedule I hear is a different story, it is run similar to WW.
Hope this helps
Permalink Reply by fit4life on July 24, 2012 at 3:22pm Thanks Lisa. I'm still trying to decide. When I contacted the area coordinator to find out info she said my local one is "Active" but they only have a few people. I definitely don't want to go to just be social. Other chapters are about double the distance, so I'm not sure yet.
